B500B steel grade in the British standard BS4449-2005 ,this standards specifies requirements for ribbed weldable reinforcing steel used for the reinforcement of concrete structures. BS4449-2005 covers steel delivered in the form of bars,coils .There are three grades in this standard,and they are B500A,B500B,B500C .

BS 4449-1997 B500B weldable reinforcement steel product identification :
Grade B500B steel bars shall have two or more series of parallel transverse ribs.For bars with two or three rib series,one of the series shall be at a contrary angle to the others;and for bars with four rib series,two of the series shall be at a contrary angle to the others.
