42CrMoS4 steel is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel accding to DIN standard,while 1.7227 steel is as per W-Nr Germany standard.the carbon content of 42CrMoS4 is the same as 42CrMo4 steel but with sulphur at 0.02-0.04%.
DIN 1.7227 42CrMoS4 steel is usually used in the manufacture of forgings which require higher strength and heat treatment capabilities than 1.7218 steel.
Delivery condition:Hot forged +Rough machined (black surface after Q/T)+ Turned (optional).
